NORWICH – On Tuesday night, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls’ swim team honored its 2026 seniors prior to the meet against Windsor. Congratulations to Mikayla Sastri and Olivia Palmer. Norwich also defeated the Black Knights by a final score of 85-61.

Norwich swept all three relay events while the Purple Tornado also did well in their respective individual events.

Conant won the 200 free with the fastest time of 2:31.46 with teammate Brynn Meek behind her in second. Meek earned a new personal best time of 2:50.31. Conant also picked up the top finish in the 500 with a new personal best time of 6:44.04 with Raeley Patterson in third with her new best 8:11.30.

Sophomore Jillian Petrie took the victory in the 200 individual medley for Norwich with a new personal best time of 3:07.26. Sastri earned the win in the 50 free with a season best 28.03 seconds with Palmer in third (30.99), and Raeley Patterson in fifth with a new personal best 35.35 seconds.

Sastri also took first in the 100 backstroke with a new best time of 1:14.80 with Petrie in second (1:20.41).

Shtrauch came out on top in both the 100 free with a new best time of 1:02.08 with Meek in second (1:19.13), and took first in the 100 breaststroke with a season best time of 1:28.87.

Norwich heads to Oneonta for its final regular season meet on October 22 at 5:30 p.m.
