ELMIRA – The Norwich Purple Tornado golf team traveled to Mark Twain Golf Club in Elmira on Tuesday, in which was a wet and windy day, for the 2025 STAC golf championship, representing the East division. Norwich, who won its third consecutive Sectional title last week, finished fourth overall as Maine-Endwell won the league title.

Eighth grader Brevin Bennett finished in the top 10 as he led the team with a 78. Matthew Brunick followed with a 81 as Michael Brunick shot an 89.

Gavin Burrell and Charlie Smith both finished with 94s and Jacob Lobdell finished as the team’s sixth golfer with a 101.
