Greene Girls’ Soccer Bounces Back With A Win Against Norwich

GREENE – Coming off Wednesday night’s game, the Greene Trojans girls’ soccer team returned to action back at George G. Raymond Field to host non-league but local opponent Norwich. After a hard overtime loss the night before, Greene bounced back quickly with a 5-1 victory to close out the 2025 regular season.

Greene’s Miah Cragle led the team with two goals and an assist. Melanie Specht, Lyndsay Specht, and Melana Gregware each scored a goal with assists by Melanie Specht and Caitlin Walls.

Norwich’s lone goal came from senior Marina Arraez, who had two shots on goal for the Purple Tornado. Quinn Terry and McKenzie Brunick also had chances for Norwich.

Greene’s Quinlin Cavanaugh made four saves in the victory while Norwich’s Daphney Frank saved 14 shots in the loss.

Greene awaits a MAC crossover game and finished 8-5 on the season and with a 3-5 league record. Norwich travels to Union-Endicott on October 13 at 7 p.m. for their final regular season game.
