DELHI – The Oxford Blackhawks golf team teed off the 2025 season with a 231-240 victory over Delhi at the College Golf Course.

Oxford returns a strong core this year, led by seniors Bennett Paden and Blake Barrows, along with junior Degan Endress and sophomore Uri Tracy. Barrows set the pace in the opener, carding a team-best 41 (+5) on the par-36 course. Paden matched Delhi’s top golfer with a 42 (+6), while Endress followed closely with a 45 (+9).

Tracy contributed a 50, and eighth grader Clayton Carlson impressed with a 53 in his first varsity start. Senior Edward Johnson rounded out the group with a 54, though his score did not factor into the team total.

Delhi’s scores ranged from a 42 to a 54.

With the win, Oxford (1-0) continues its three-match road swing this morning at Sidney, teeing off at 10 a.m.
