SIDNEY - Make your appointment now, The Tri-County Chapter of NYS Women, Inc. (formerly BPW) is sponsoring their annual AMBA scholarship fundraiser on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The clinic is being held at the Elks Lodge, 104 River Street, Sidney, NY.

The AMBA (Annual Multiphase Blood Analysis) Wellness Clinic offers a host of doctor-ordered blood tests for $44.00- a reasonable price. This year there is an additional specimen collection fee of $15.00.

This is a good value for persons with no, or limited-coverage, medical insurance. Additional specialized testing is available for various prices. Free coffee, tea, juice and snacks are provided following the blood draw.

The basic AMBA Panel offers more than 30 blood tests for $44.00 including Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides. Tests are also available for thyroxin, prostate PSA, Vitamin D -25, Hemoglobin A1C, and there is a take-home colon rectal test. Separate fees are charged for each of these extra tests.

You must have a prescription from your doctor for all testing and the specialized tests require separate prescriptions. See your doctor to obtain these prior to the test date. A photo ID must be presented at the time of testing.

The sponsoring organization, Tri-County Chapter of NYS Women, Inc., will be charging a separate fee of $10.00 per participant for bringing this service to the community. You may pay the $10.00 by cash or by check made out to “Tri-County Chapter of NYSW, Inc.” AMBA accepts checks or money orders only made payable to AMBA, for the testing process. No cash.

The Tri-County group has sponsored this event for many years. Scholarship awards are given annually to students in area schools. This past year two scholarships were awarded. Tessi Ulrich at Norwich High School was awarded one scholarship. The second scholarship was awarded to Brianna Bartow from Bainbridge-Guilford High School. Community support for this scholarship fundraiser has always been strong. We look forward to seeing you there this year.

The Tri-County Chapter of NYS Women, Inc. is an organization formed by the merger of the Tri-Town Chapter and the Norwich Chapter.
