NORWICH — The Norwich High School Hall of Distinction Committee will be holding their first induction ceremony at 4 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 in the Norwich High School Auditorium, located at 89 Midland Drive in Norwich.

The ceremony is free and open to the public. Light finger foods and drinks will be offered at 4 p.m., with the ceremony beginning at 4:30 p.m.

The NHS Hall of Distinction was established in 2024 and aims to recognize and honor Norwich High School alumni "who have made in the areas of, but not limited to, profession, community service, commerce, religion, and art."

"As Superintendent, I place immense value in telling our story. Our history and all former alum make up so much of our story; who we’ve been, are, and will be," said Norwich City School District Superintendent Scott Ryan. "I hope people have fun with this, I hope it reconnects people to stories of our great past and I hope that we can use this as a vehicle to unite this great community even more."
