BAINBRIDGE - If you want to learn about important steps to complete that will assist your loved ones before and after your passing, then come to the “End of Life Preparation” during the Bainbridge Community Health Fair on Saturday, August 30 at 10 a.m. Presentations will be held in the Bainbridge Presbyterian Church and doors open at 9:30 a.m. This is a free event, no reservations are required and all are welcome.
This event, organized by the Presbyterian Church of Bainbridge and the East Guilford Presbyterian Church, will include an hour of short presentations followed by an hour for questions and answers. Presentations will include legal advice about wills and power of attorney from Beth Westfall and Avery McLean of the Coughlin & Gerhart law firm; health directives, including health care proxy, DNR and MOLST, Hospice services by Kendall Johnson from Chenango County Hospice; funeral planning, including information on embalming, cremations and green burial, by Andrew Maddalone of C.H. Landers Funeral Chapel; cemetery plot purchasing provided by a representative of the Bainbridge Greenlawn Cemetery Association; and information on grave stones and markers, by Gary Gifford of Bainbridge Memorial Works.
