NORWICH — The Upstate Renaissance Faire will be returning for their third annual event from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on August 23 and 24 at the Chenango County Fairgrounds.
Admission is $17 for adults, $5 for children aged 6 to 13, and free for kids under 5. Additionally, tickets are $10 for firefighters, police, EMS, and nurses with a valid agency ID, and a special discount is available for veterans and active duty service members with a valid branch or government ID.
Visitors will step back in time to 1300 to 1600 A.D. England and experience the fashion, food, and entertainment of the Renaissance era.
Upstate Renaissance Faire Owner and Organizer Heather Baker said attendees can expect "the same great show at family-friendly prices." This year's event will include a variety of both old and new vendors, performances, and activities for all ages.
Some of this year's vendors include Kaylor's Krypt, Frost and Ember Creations, DET Avery Crafts, The Crescent Moon, Forest House, The Floral Guild, Elder Sisters Apothecary, Cobblestone Fiber Designs, Rabid Llama Creations, Oberon Ocarinas, Dragonfyre Distillery, Country Crafts, Amber Skye Chainmaille, The Armory Myakka, Fairy Doors by Denise, Wind Song Acres Soapery, and more.
Free entertainment at the festival will include Celtic Magic with Daniel Greenwolf and Bella, The Sirens of Circe, harp music by Matthew H. Schwarz, Thimbleberry the Woodsprite, the Timbalanced Can-Do Circus Carnival, MorganEagle Falconry, and more.
