BAINBRIDGE — The Bainbridge Farmers' Market has changed market days to Fridays and welcomes all as they continue providing a variety of vendors from local farmers to craftsmen, offering fresh produce, crafts and home goods.
The indoor market hours and location will remain the same, rain or shine, every Friday, from 4 to 7 p.m., at 5 Prospect Street in Bainbridge.
Bainbridge Market organizer, vendor and Black Oak Farm owners Samantha and Raymond Frederick said the Monday scheduled market days weren’t working for many of the vendors.
“Mondays were slow and also difficult for many vendors who are parents, juggling the kids with school and sports, as well as working jobs outside of their craft,” said Frederick.
She also noted Mondays proved slack with availability of food trucks, musicians and demonstrations.
“As of now, we’ve seen a wonderful improvement with customers as well as availability for vendors to join back with us,” Frederick said.
She said the many benefits of the Bainbridge Farmers' Market include an indoor market with bathroom facilities, ample parking, and the ability to shop and order online during the week for a guaranteed pickup on Friday.
Frederick said this week she will offer sourdough pretzels, cinnamon crunch granola, salted caramel oat bars, triple chocolate scones, and white chocolate cranberry cookies, along with fresh produce from our garden,” said Frederick.
