MORRIS - The “best six days of summer” begins on Tuesday, July 29 at the Otsego County Fair with agricultural exhibits, fun, food and entertainment with Agricultural exhibits featured all week.

Monday before the fair opens the Hymn Sing will be held in the Grange Building beginning at 6 p.m. Tuesday will be AG Day with some 4-H Shows starting at 10 a.m. The grandstand will feature the NYS Sire Stakes Harness racing at noon.

The evening will feature Dirt Road Express Band in the Grange Building beginning at 6 p.m..

Come enjoy listening and dancing including round and square dancing. The Otsego County Fair Board will be in attendance for you to meet and greet.

Fairgoers will enjoy animal shows, agricultural exhibits, 4-H events and demonstrations. Collections display will be in the Canham Building with displays by Adults and Youth.

The carnival rides by Gillette Shows Carnival Rides and games will be open Wednesday through Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. each day Wednesday at 7 p.m. Fire Service & School Band Parade and Fireworks Show at dark.

Thursday grandstand at 7 p.m. features the Painted Pony Championship Rodeo

Friday is Senior Day with ½ price admission for seniors 60 and over will feature the Antique and Out of Field Tractor Pulls at 10 am and NYTPA Tractor Pulls starting at 7 p.m.

Saturday will be Family Day Kid’s Giveaway registration starting at 1 p.m giveaway starting at 3 p.m. in front of the Grandstand and 7 p.m. The Otsego County Fair Truck Pulls and Fireworks at dark.

The last day Sunday will have two D.N.A. Motorsports Demos at 1 and 6 p.m.

The free entertainment tent will feature Krystal Lee, Luke Poole, Canaan James, Dirt Road Express, Jason Wicks Band, and Randy Hulse.

The Karaoke Contest under the direction of Northern Star Productions will be held in the Entertainment Tent Wednesday 7 p.m. Karaoke Qualifier, Saturday Karaoke Contest 12 and under at noon and Karaoke Finale will be at 7 p.m..

The Grange Building will showcase a variety of attractions including Wednesday Randy’s Harp Tones Harmonica Band at 1 p.m. and Limitless Performing Arts Dancers following the parade. Thursday at 1:30 p.m. is Sweet Adelines City of the Hills Chorus and 5 p.m. Otsego School of Dance and Performing Arts. Friday at 1 p.m. Judy Pitel and 4 p.m. Mary Frances Perricone .New on Saturday will be a Baby Crawl/ Walk contests starting at noon.

Special days for fairgoers are Wednesday and Saturday Veterans and Active Duty Free with ID, Friday Senior’s Day with half price admission.

Again this year will be a Dairy Bar offering Free Milk, and yogurt daily st special posted times Wednesday through Sunday.

Traditional Hymn Sings returns to the Otsego County Fair

MORRIS -The Traditional Hymn Sings returns to the Otsego County Fair this year on Monday, July 28 at 6 p.m. in the Grange Building. This is open to all and free of charge. A variety of hymns under the direction of Laura Palada will be sung by those attending as well as special music between the hymns. There are still openings for individual solos, duets, or group numbers to participate. For information call 607-287-5484 or email laurapalada65@gmail.com. Sonja Galley will be playing the piano for the hymn sing.
