NORWICH -The Norwich Post 189 Legion baseball team hosted the Oneonta Green Wave on Friday night on their home turf. Norwich fell 2-0.

Oneonta jumped to an early 1-0 start with a one-out RBI double. The score remained 1-0 until Oneonta scored one final run in the top of the seventh on an error.

Oneonta's Xander Johnson (Unatego/Franklin) pitched a perfect game against Norwich on 87 pitches.

Norwich's Braden Reid pitched the complete game, allowing two runs (one unearned) on three hits, no walks, and struck out eight batters.

Norwich (0-2)'s game at Whitney Point was postponed for this evening. Post 189 will host Oneonta Green Wave again on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
