SHERBURNE — The Future Farmers of America (FFA) will host a free breakfast for local farmers from 8:30 to 10 a.m., June 6, in the Sherburne- Earlville Central School cafeteria, located at 15 School Street, Sherburne.
“The Sherburne-Earlville FFA chapter will hold a free breakfast at the school and the invitation is going out to all local farmers, past, present, and future, in the Sherburne-Earlville School District,” said Agriculture Teacher and FFA Advisor Nicole Cunningham.
“We're providing the breakfast to show our appreciation for our local farmers hard work and dedication in the community, Cunningham said. “Each guest will also receive five raffle tickets to win a basket filled with goods.”
She explained there will be a short social time starting at 8:30 a.m. - then, at 9 a.m., breakfast will be served.
“The students are really excited and look forward to interacting with the community farmers and we have some fun updates about the AG program and what’s new with FFA,” said Cunningham.
She noted french toast, sausage, fruits, coffee, tea, and juice will be served, along with the schools own maple syrup.
“We make our own maple syrup right here at the Sherburne-Earlville School, so that is included with the menu,” she added.
