OXFORD - Singer and songwriter, Lala Hart, all the way from Colorado, will be performing in the bandstand at the Oxford Farmers’ Market this Saturday, May 31.
Sharing in song what she calls her “Heart felt human tales," she captures in warm lyrical melody the ups, downs of being alive.
Oxford is a nostalgic root in Lalo’s line. She grew up pilgrimaging to her ancestral cabin on Warn Pond and visiting her late “Great Aunt Chottie”—beloved Oxford Town Historian Charlotte Stafford—so this region holds a timeless magic for her. The Market is thrilled to be able to welcome her—rain or shine!
After last Saturday’s joyful launch, the Market is now fully in the summer season swing with dozens of vendors every week offering a wide variety of local plant starts and flowers; seasonal veggies and mushrooms; eggs, dairy products and regional cheeses; locally raised and processed beef, lamb, pork and chicken; local hard ciders, maple syrup and honey; coffee and tea; hand-made soaps, lotions and balms; homemade treats for dogs; exquisitely hand-crafted items for the kitchen and home; and artisan fiber products from local producers. Every product straight from a local source and the skilled hands of your neighbors.
The Oxford Garden Club will also be sharing Lafayette Park with the Market this Saturday, bringing plants for the community, starting at 9:00 am.
The Market opens at 9:00 am, with music starting at 10:00 am.
