NORWICH - For the month of April, Price Chopper in Norwich held their annual Pet Food Drive for All Animals Matter, Inc. (AAM).
Approximately 2,000 lbs of pet food, including treats for dogs and cats, was purchased at the register by customers. Cashiers encouraged customers to purchase pet food from the selection at the register or to pick up something from the pet food aisle to donate.
On the last day of this event, employees helped gather all of the pet food for the photo and even helped load it into my car! I had to make two trips in my Prius to our small building in Oxford. At this building is where our cat clinic drop off and pick up is twice a month, and cats go to Animal Care Sanctuary in East Smithfield, PA by a transport van.
The food will help pet owners and feral cat colonies primarily in Chenango County, but may include Delaware and Otsego counties.
If you know someone who needs pet food please contact Diane Troxell at All Animals Matter by email only allanimalsmatterinc@gmail.com.
All Animals Matter in Oxford helps spay and neuter both dogs and cats. Again, email for any information; your name, mailing address and phone number and if you have a dog or cat.
We are very grateful to the employees and customers at Price Chopper, Norwich, for helping us with this pet food drive and allowing us to provide pet food to needy pets.
