S-E Track Competes At CSC Division I Championships

DOLGEVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves track and field teams traveled to Dolgeville High School to compete in the Central State Conference championships on Wednesday afternoon. The S-E boys came in third with 66 points while the girls took fifth with 13 points in Division I.

Clinton boys and girls won the meet in Division I while Herkimer swept Division II. Full results can be found on ny.milesplit.com.

The Sherburne-Earlville Timberwolves boys picked up a third place finish in the 4x400 and two fourth place finishes in both the 4x100 and 4x800.

Clifford Russett, Robert Schaefer, Braden Lewis, and Jamie O’Connor came in third in the 4x400 with a time of 4:00.11, behind both Canastota and Clinton.

Noah Lamandia, Isaac Larchar, Russett, and Schaefer led the 4x800 relay team as Tristan Cox, Dominick Hirst, Russett, and Schaefer finished fourth in the 4x100.

William Leinbach led the team individually with a top finish in the boys’ 110 meter hurdles with the fastest time of 19.63 seconds. Cox came in seventh with a time of 24.45 seconds. Leinbach also competed in the 400 meter hurdles, where he took fifth with a time of 1:09.21.
