BAINBRIDGE— The Bainbridge-Guilford (B-G) Central School District held their 2025-2026 budget hearing on Tuesday, May 13, at the Bainbridge-Guilford Jr./Sr. High School.
The School District Superintendent Tim Ryan presented a PowerPoint, showcasing the increases on the three-part budget proposed at $25,560,016.
About ten people were in attendance including the two current Board of Education (BOE) members, four BOE candidates, and business managers.
“We're very proud of this year’s proposed budget; the 2025-2026 Bainbridge-Guilford School budget proposal that includes a lot of new initiatives that will benefit our students, staff, and the community,” said Ryan.
“We're adding three teaching positions into the budget to support our students academically and musically,” said Ryan. “One teaching position will be added into the music department as well as two other positions in academic areas at the elementary level.”
Ryan also noted they are adding two Response-To-Intervention teachers at the elementary level for academic support for their students and stated the budget included a lot of supplies and equipment to support district initiatives moving forward.
The proposed budget revenues break down as follows:
LOCAL - Property Taxes and STAR Revenue - $7,435,661
STATE - State Aid - $17,012,285
