WALTON – After facing off against Harpursville/Afton on Monday, the Oxford Blackhawks baseball team was back at it on Tuesday at Walton/Downsville. Tuesday’s game was the first round of the MAC tournament, with both teams playing in the consolation round. Oxford took both games in the regular season, but fell 12-1 to Walton/Downsville this time.

Walton/Downsville scored all 12 runs in the first three innings, holding Oxford to one run in the final at-bats in the fifth inning. Oxford had one run on three hits. Noah Chesebro scored the only run for the Blackhawks on an error and reached base on a hit by pitch.
