WALTON – The Oxford Blackhawks softball team snapped a two-game skid with a 26-18 victory against Walton on Tuesday. Tuesday’s game closed out the 2025 regular season with both teams entering the MAC tournament. Oxford is among the top four teams in the MAC and will play in the semifinals game against Deposit-Hancock for a chance to advance to the MAC Championship.

Oxford took an early 7-0 lead but Walton fought back with eight runs of their own in the bottom of the first inning. The Blackhawks put up seven more runs in both the second and third innings as Walton answered back with five runs in the bottom of the third.
