NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado flag football team honored its Class of 2025 seniors on Friday night against Sus Valley. Congratulations to Mya Barnes, Romina Borrazzo, and Meghan Funk.

Norwich fell to the Sabers 45-28. The Sabers scored on their first two offensive drives before Norwich cut the deficit to a touchdown with a long run by Josey Ryan on a 47-yard touchdown with a good 1-point conversion pass to Brooklyn Burke.

Sus Valley quick answered back to make it 21-7. The Sabers pressured Norwich to turn the ball over on downs on their next drive. However, Norwich did the same with the Sabers deep in Purple Tornado territory.

Daphney Frank pulled the flag on the quarterback on first and goal for a sack. Arabella Dwyer got a pull for a loss on the play. Alivia Burrell pulled the flag to save a touchdown and then McKenzie Brunick pulled on a major fourth down to force a turnover on downs.
