B-G Softball Splits At Greenlight Park; Defeats Greene, Drops To Deposit-Hancock

BINGHAMTON – The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats, the Greene Trojans, and the Deposit-Hancock Eagles softball teams got together for MAC league games at Binghamton’s Greenlight Grandslam Park on Wednesday afternoon. The Bobcats faced the Trojans in game one and the Eagles in game two.

Game 1:

B-G 13- Greene 3

B-G opened the scoring with a run in both the first and second innings before adding three more runs in the top of the third. Greene answered back with three runs of their own on two back-to-back walks to start the bottom of the third inning. Audra Doll walked with one out to load the bases.

Kenzie Button got one run in on a hard hit ball to the pitcher to bring in a run. Cali Knapp followed with an infield single as well that sent in two runs before Alessandra Cafasso struck out Deidre Colgan on three pitches.

B-G added one more run in the fourth and went out big with a seven-run sixth inning. The sixth inning was sparked by back-to-back singles by Kate Baciuska and Emma Kinter. Brenna George had a sacrifice bunt to move the runners in scoring position. Breanna Casey walked to load the bases with one out.
