Boys Soccer: Oxford brings home the MAC Championship; defeats Delhi in overtime Congratulations to the Oxford Blackhawks boys’ soccer team on winning the 2024 MAC championship. (Photo by Morgan Golliver)

ONEONTA – After defeating Sidney in the MAC semi-finals, the Oxford Blackhawks boys’ soccer team were the home team against Delhi in the MAC Championship game, held at Wright Soccer Fields in Oneonta. It was a battle of defenses that pushed hard to force two overtime periods. With 2:34 left in the second overtime half, Oxford’s Paxton LaMonica took a pass from Eddie Golden and scored the game-winning goal.

This win was Oxford’s first MAC title in program history.
