CICERO –The 2024 NYSPHSAA Track and Field Championship was held on Friday and Saturday, featuring multiple athletes from Chenango County. All athletes worked hard throughout the spring season to qualify for the States meet.

B-G:

Bainbridge-Guilford brought its 4x800 girls' relay team as well as Ethne Degan and Maddie Ingham for the individual events at States after all athletes won their respective events during the state qualifiers last week. The 4x800 team finished 29th with a team of Degan, Ingham, Lalaenia Baldwin, and Laila Williams in a time of 10:31.99.

Degan ran the 1500 meter run in 4:41.78 for the final time to conclude her senior season in fourth place in division II and 17th place overall. Congratulations on a great high school career, Ethne, who was also selected as the division II female Sportsmanship winner for Section IV. Eighth grader Maddie Ingham, who has been learning a lot from Ethne, finished 15th in division II and 28th overall in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:29.48.
