Norwich Track Competes In Class B Sectional Championship

ELMIRA –The Norwich Purple Tornado track and field teams traveled to Elmira on Wednesday for the Section IV, Class B championship. Union-Endicott took first for the girls' as Norwich came in fifth place. For the boys, Vestal won the sectional title while Norwich took third.

It was a great meet for Norwich athletes who continue to improve on times in their respective events.

Boys:

The Norwich boys' took third with 69 team points. Lucas Craddock was stellar again with his jumps, earning the first place finish in both the high and long jump. Richard Fuller joined in on the victory celebration with a first place finish in the 400 meter dash, achieving a new personal best time of 49.96 seconds. Fuller also took second in the 200 meter dash with a new best time of 22.87 seconds. Cameron Carnachan also competed in the 200 meters, where he himself achieved a new best time of 24.89 seconds for 11th place.

Carnachan finished 10th in the 100 meter dash with a new best time of 12.11 seconds with Jonah Adams behind him in 11th with his own personal best time of 12.23 seconds.
