SIDNEY – All local Chenango County MAC league teams competed in the MAC track and field championship held at Sidney High School on Wednesday afternoon. Sidney came out on top of the girls’ meet with 143 points as the Bainbridge-Guilford boys’ won the MAC title with scoring 111.50 points. The B-G girls took second with Unadilla Valley in third place and Oxford/Greene in eighth. Oxford/Greene came in second for the boys with UV in fifth and Harpursville/Afton in eighth place.

The Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats boys’ track and field team were victorious and solid all-around to pick up the MAC title win. As a team, the Bobcats took third in the 4x800 relay with Rowan Beasinger, Brandon Campbell, Brock Porter, and Blake Tuttel completing the event in 9:48.92. Easton Porter, Kevin Lang, Julian Pruskowski, and Kyle Patton took second in the 4x400.

Beasinger and Tuttel also competed in the 1600 meter run along with teammate Easton Porter. Porter came in seventh place as Beasinger took 10th and Tuttel in 16th place. Porter also tied for third place in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:10.74. Beasinger ran the 3200 run in 13:00.69 for fourth place with teammate Christian Campbell behind him in fifth place. Campbell achieved a new best time of 16:19.48.
