DELHI – The Oxford Blackhawks baseball team traveled to Delhi on Monday afternoon for a MAC league match-up. Both teams had been struggling in recent games, so it seemed like a great time to square off. It definitely was a battle for both teams who put up total of 26 runs scored. Oxford held on to a 15-11 victory, marking their third win of the season.

Oxford got on the board first to start the game with a five-run first and a nine-run second to have complete control. Conner Dunagan singled to lead-off the top of the first inning, stole second, and scored on an error during Landen Olinski’s at-bat. Blake Barrows drove in a run on a fielder’s choice after Nic Dodzweit singled to left field. Brent Hamilton also grounded into a fielder’s choice, which scored two runs off an error to put Hamilton at second base. Hamilton scored on an error to make it 5-0 Oxford.
