OXFORD – After a hard fought game against Greene, the Oxford Blackhawks returned home to face a tough, unbeaten Deposit-Hancock team. Oxford fell 16-0 in five innings. The Eagles had a big second inning with nine runs to go ahead 12-0, which sealed the victory before adding on four more runs in their two final at-bats.

Oxford was held to one hit in the game with a two-out single by Raya Warner in the bottom of the third inning. Warner also stole second base, but failed to score. She was also the lone base runner for the Blackhawks as the Eagles played cleanly and avoided giving up any walks.

Lily Marshman and Cora Hodge split time on the mound, where both got into jams with a combined nine walks between the two. Marshman struck out seven batters through four innings.
