SHERBURNE – After a setback against Herkimer, the Sherburne-Earlville softball team stayed home to take on Clinton. S-E had a great day at the plate and Fisher had an excellent performance on the mound to take a big 12-0 victory.

After two scoreless innings for both teams, S-E got on the board with four runs in the third inning. With two outs to start the inning, Savanna Born walked and would walk a total of three times in the game. Born scored during Emily Lawrence’s at-bat off an error by the defense. Haleigh Fisher drew a two-out walk and Lawrence and Fisher both scored off an error on Emilee Bennett’s at-bat. Chesnee Miller kept the inning going as she was walked and Bennett came around to score on Jeanine Chamberlain’s RBI single.

Fisher struck out the side on the mound before her team picked up another run in the bottom of the fourth off an RBI single by Emily Lawrence. S-E added seven runs in their final at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning.
