Annual Youth Turkey Hunting Contest By Earlville Conservation Club Coming Soon

EARLVILLE – The Earlville Conservation Club is proud to announce the Second Annual Youth Turkey Hunting Contest. 

This year it will be held on April 20 and 21. We are looking for youth hunters that are of legal age at the time of the contest; 12-15 years old. 

Youth must have completed a course in Hunter Education and possess a valid NY State hunting license. 

The youth must be accompanied on the hunt by a parent, legal guardian or a person who is of required age.  The bearded turkey must be harvested in NY during the Youth Turkey Hunt.  All bearded turkeys must be tagged prior to entry.  The youth turkey hunter must be present at the time of weigh in.

Youth will bring their turkey for weigh-in and complete their entry form at Many Maples Farm, 697 State Highway 26, Georgetown, NY  13072.  There is no entry fee for the Youth Turkey Hunt.

The weigh-in dates and times are Saturday and Sunday, April 20 & 21 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Call Sam Walrod: [315]663-6589 or Art Fleming: [607]434-1618 if you need a different weigh-in time.

Prizes and club memberships will be given to each youth participant and special prizes for the heaviest turkey and Lucky turkey.

The ECC will also hold a ECC member Turkey contest- running the entire turkey season. To take part in this: Must be a current Earlville Conservation Club member. $20 entry fee by May 1, 2024.
