Norwich Softball Drops To Sus Valley

CONKLIN – After a week off, The Norwich Purple Tornado softball team traveled to take on league opponent Sus Valley on Monday afternoon. Norwich fell 12-0 and were held hitless through all five innings.

Norwich did have one base runner as Ava-Rose Cirigliano reached base in the top of the fourth and had two stolen bases to get into scoring position. Madalyn Quattrocchi started on the mound for the first time this year, where she went three innings, allowing four runs on five hits and struck out seven batters. Caitlin Wetterhahn was shaken up in the last inning and a third and struck out one batter.

Norwich (0-3) hosts Windsor for their home opener on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
