NORWICH - NBT Bank announced that Carlena Wallace, CPA, has joined NBT as Vice President and Corporate Controller.

Wallace will be based at NBT’s Norwich, New York headquarters and will oversee the company’s financial and accounting operations.

“Carlena is a results-oriented leader who has consistently demonstrated her ability to achieve results in a variety of roles within major banking and manufacturing organizations; we are thrilled to have her join NBT’s leadership team,” said NBT Bank Chief Accounting Officer Annette Burns.

Wallace comes to NBT Bank with more than two decades of experience in operational and finance management roles within the banking and manufacturing industries. Prior to joining NBT, Wallace served as Vice President and Director of Workflow and Operational Improvement at Community Bank in DeWitt, New York, where she managed large-scale strategic initiatives to improve performance and efficiency.

Wallace holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clarkson University and a Master of Business Administration degree from State University of New York, Oswego. Active in the community, she serves on the Board of Education at Fabius-Pompey and as a board member for A Time To Grow Nursery School in Fabius, New York, where she resides.
