NORWICH - Commerce Chenango welcomed business and community leaders to the Economic Outlook Breakfast at the Canasawacta Country Club in Norwich on Thursday.

President and CEO Sal Testani thanked the large crowd for their support and introduced guest speakers from NBT Bank.

NBT President and CEO John H. Watt, Jr. began the breakfast by talking about the recent leadership transition followed by Kenneth J. Entenmann, NBT Bank Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer and Economist, sharing economic predictions for 2024.

The NBT Board of Directors and executive team rang in the opening bell of the NASDAQ Exchange in January. Watt thanked the board, his colleagues, and the employees of NBT.

“In January, we had the opportunity to represent Norwich in Times Square and to celebrate their long successful history of NBT in this community and across the footprint we serve,” said Watt.

That same day NBT also announced Watt was stepping down as leader on May 21, 2024.
