LITTLE FALLS – After a good 2023-2024 regular season, where they finished second in their division, the Sherburne-Earlville girls’ basketball team drew the 12th seed in the Section III, Class B tournament. On Tuesday, they traveled to take on their toughest competitor, Little Falls for the third time this season, but in a game that was worth much more this time around. S-E matched Little Falls in the first quarter with both teams starting out neck-and-neck. Strong efforts continued before halftime, but Little Falls took a 28-24 lead at the break. The Mounties resumed play with a big push in the third quarter. Little Falls extended their lead and held S-E to six points. Both teams finished off strong with Little Falls securing the victory as S-E fought back in the final eight minutes.
