Coventry Emergency Squad Hosting CPR Class For Educators, Childcare Workers And Health Officials

COVENTRY – The Coventry Emergency Squad is hosting an upcoming CPR class by the American Heart Association.

The Basic Life Support class is for renewal and first time certifiers. The class has 10 seats available and is only open to first responders, educators, coaches, healthcare and childcare providers.

The hours are from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on February 24, at the Coventry Volunteer Fire Company located at 109 North Road in Coventry.

Coventry Emergency Medical Technician Darci Shepard said she'll be instructing the class along with Lieutenant Kyle Button.

"CPR certification renewal is every 2 years and is important to keep up on because of the ever changing cardio science for CPR," said Shepard. "You never know when you're the only person who can save someone's life."

She said the price per student is $60.00 and includes class fee and online certification (eCard).
