Morris Man Charged With Sex Crimes

OXFORD – On January 17, 2024 a Town of Morris resident was arrested by the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office following a sex crimes investigation in the Village of Oxford.

Members of the Chenango County Sheriff’s Office charged Kaleb M. Weinmuller, 22 of Morris, with second degree rape, a Class D felony, along with second degree criminal sexual act, and endangering the welfare of a child, misdemeanors.

The Chenango County Sheriff’s Office reported police had investigated a sexual abuse complaint that occurred in the Village of Oxford and during the investigation it was found that Weinmuller was 21 years old when he had sexual intercourse with a female juvenile victim.

Weinmuller was arrested and arraigned in the Village of Oxford Court where he was remanded on $25,000 cash bail.

Weinmuller was then transported back to Broome County Correctional Facility where he is currently being held on other charges.

All crimes described are allegations, and suspects named are innocent of the charges until proven guilty in a court of law.
