BAINBRIDGE – Coming off a big win against Tioga, the Bainbridge-Guilford Lady Bobcats faced a tough Maine-Endwell team in their own Kazalski tournament title game. B-G came out on top in a tight 55-48 game. The Bobcats are pushing back from some tough games with a current 4-5 record.

Both teams came out strong in the first quarter, where Maine-Endwell went on an 11-2 run early on. B-G’s Marissa Mayo limited the damage by firing in two of her four three’s in the first quarter. The Bobcats slowed down their fierce opponent in the second and third quarters to shift the game in their favor and stayed consistent to achieve the close victory.

Jayslin Henderson, who was named to the all-tournament team, scored a team-high 16 points and added seven rebounds and seven steals. Johnna Henderson was named tournament MVP and recorded a double-double in the finals with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Mayo finished with 14 points in the win as Peyton Umbra knocked down two three’s in the win with 10 points.
