CHENANGO VALLEY - Coming off a tough loss to Chenango Forks, the Norwich Purple Tornado girls basketball team traveled to Chenango Valley for a Saturday matinee. Norwich fell to the Warriors 42-33 in STAC league play.

Both teams were off to a slow start with Norwich taking a brief 14-10 lead at halftime. The Purple Tornado kept a five-point lead after the end of the third quarter, but Chenango Valley ran the board in the final eight minutes of play. The Warriors posted 22 points in the final quarter, leaving Norwich unable to make the comeback.
