OXFORD - The Oxford/Greene wrestling team was in full action this weekend with a dual meet against Binghamton on Friday and with its girls team competiting in a tournament in Union-Endicott on Saturday.

The Blackhawks boys took down Binghamton 45-15 with many wrestlers pushing back from being down early. Alex Stewart and Liam Pohli received forefits in their respective weight classes before the real action began. Kade Mustin led the match against Binghamton's Rasheed Scott in a major decision before laying down one final chance at a pin, where he achieved win by technical fall in the final five seconds of the third period. Sophomore Troy Braman won his 131 weight class match with a pin in 5:08 to pick up his eighth win of the season and stands tall at 8-3 overall.

Aiden Marcin added on to his undefeated record with his sixth win after winning by a 9-0 major decision and teammate Isaiah Sexton had the quickest pin of the night in 39 seconds in the 170 weight class. Jared Milk came back from a 9-0 deficit going into the second period to earn the 1:50 pin while Urijah Dibble achieved a pin in 3:57. Oxford/Greene's Colin Morlando, David Dunkel, and Colten Button fought hard in their matches but came up short.

The Oxford/Greene girls finished ninth in the U-E Tradesmen tournament, where Kelsey Loiselle and Allison Thomas each picked up their first career win while Ahraya Whitt earned her first win and added two more to it and Brooke Williams stands tall with an even 3-3 record.

Oxford/Greene will be preparing to compete in the Windsor Christmas tournament the weekend of December 28th and 29th, starting at 10 a.m.
