Girls’ Basketball: UV Pulls Through In Second Half Vs CV To Begin 2023 Season

DAVENPORT – The Unadilla Valley Storm girls basketball team kicked off the 2023 season against Charlotte Valley on Wednesday evening, coming away with a 49-36 victory. Both teams had a slow start with the Wildcats taking a brief 14-12 lead at halftime.

UV came out soaring in the third quarter, posting 22 points that helped them pull ahead to achieve the victory. UV was led by senior Jaiden Schrag and junior Natalie Crandall tied for team leaders as both ladies scored 15 points. Schrag also had eight assists and 10 steals while Crandall contributed with 11 rebounds.

Adrienne Hodge knocked down the team’s only three-point shot with 11 points as Myriah Taylor and Emmalyn Montgomery both finished with four points.

UV (1-0) hosts Delhi on Wednesday, Dec 6 at 7:15 p.m.
