NORWICH — The Parker Walsh Team of Keller Williams Upstate NY Properties invites the community to be part of the “heart-warming happy hour” blessing basket “drop off” between the hours of 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15th at Nina's located at 32 South Broad Street.

The Parker Walsh Team is thrilled to host this event, so join in on the blessings of giving and enjoy some apple cider and the kids activity corner when you drop off your baskets at Nina’s. Also, gently used coats will be accepted to help those in need stay warm through the wintery season.

Parker Walsh Owner and Associate Broker Gretchen Walsh said, “This is our first time doing this and we’re super excited. We have every intention of making it an annual event.”

“Thanksgiving is a time for family, friends, food, and showing gratitude,” Walsh said. “We know there are many local families who will struggle to put a Thanksgiving meal on their table. Our goal is to help 50 families by coming together as a community and providing them with blessing baskets, so they can enjoy the holiday with their families and friends.”

Each family that brings a basket will receive a $10 gratitude gift card to be put toward a future visit to Nina’s.

Walsh suggested to fill a laundry basket, items could be: a $20 turkey gift certificate, cans of corn, green beans, cranberry sauce, a box of stuffing and mashed potatoes, a jar or packet of gravy, cream of mushroom soup, a box of muffin or biscuit mix, and any additional non perishable dessert.

“Additional items to be considered may consist of socks, toiletries, games, laundry detergent, etc.,” Walsh said. “Laundry baskets can be decorated and items to decorate a table would be an extra thrill.”

The Parker Walsh Team and the guidance counselors in local area schools will gift all the baskets to families across the school district who are in need.
