TRUMANSBURG – After hosting back-to-back sectional games, the Unadilla Valley Storm traveled to take on top seeded Trumanburg for the Section IV, Class C semi-finals. UV clung to a big lead, but saw the lead vanish late in the second half, where Trumansburg won 4-3 in overtime.

The Storm led 3-0 at halftime with all three goals by leading senior Jaiden Schrag. Schrag finished her final season with 27 goals.

With Trumanburg battling back in the second half, UV held a 3-2 lead with five minutes left in regulation. Trumansburg tied the game at three with an earned penalty kick and from there, forced the game into overtime and kept up the momentum to win. This is the Blue Raiders’ second consecutive finals appearance after defeating Greene last year.

The Storm had a great season with finishing 13-3 overall, went undefeated in the MAC division II with a 6-0 record and had an overall MAC league record of 8-1. UV’s core memories this year was becoming 2023 MAC League champions and making their way to the sectional semi-finals, coming so close to playing for the Class C title. This can only mean so much to the seniors graduating and for the team that will bring back many experienced players again next season.

Aside from Schrag being the team’s leading scorer, Natalie Crandall had eight goals and Myriah Taylor finished the season with six assists. Both will return next year.

Great season, UV and best of luck to the Seniors.
