NEW BERLIN - The Unadilla Valley Storm girls soccer team stayed strong in their 4-1 win over Elmira-Notre Dame in the second round of sectionals. The Storm continues to be led by senior Jaiden Schrag, who scored two goals and an assist in the win.

Schrag's first goal came within two minutes of the start of the game with her second in the second half off a pass from Myriah Taylor. While Schrag continues to create scoring opportunities for herself, which includes breaking through several defenders with excellent ball control, she also shared the wealth with her teammates.

Shelby Rose scored her second goal in two games as Natalya Schrag rebounded the ball off a corner kick to pass it to her for the assist.

UV took a 2-0 lead at halftime before Elmira-Notre Dame answered back to cut the lead to one. The Storm kept pushing through as Schrag's second goal came as well as a slow roller from Adrienne Hodge halfway through off Jaiden’s assist.

Aside from giving up the one goal, UV's goalkeeper Kalie Fernandez-Naughton made four saves in the five shots allowed.

UV hopes to keep the strong team effort going against a tough top seeded Trumansburg in the semi-finals on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
