WINDSOR - Coming off a big win against Chenango Valley, the Norwich Purple Tornado knew they were up against a tough Windsor team. Both teams met in the playoffs last year, where Norwich snuck by with a one point win (35-34). This time around, Norwich dominated with a 41-22 victory, handing Windsor only their second loss of the season.

Norwich held a 21-16 lead at halftime before powering through with 20 more points and holding the Black Knights to one touchdown in the second half. While Windsor was heavy on the run game and came up with more yards offensively, the Norwich defense stepped up at the right times.

Norwich scored on every drive, except three with two punts and end of half possession.

The Norwich defense helped out tremendously with two interceptions and forced Windsor to turn the ball over on downs once to set the offense up nicely.

Steven Dowdall was speedy on his feet again with running 10 carries for 110 yards and scored one rushing touchdown. Dowdall was also 12-for-17 with 171 passing yards and threw three touchdown passes.

Richard Fuller led all receivers with five receptions for 87 yards with a touchdown. Kassen Stubbs and Zack Parker also caught touchdown passes. Aside from Dowdall's run game, Braden Hagenbuch had 17 carries for 71 yards and scored on a hand-off from Dowdall.
