SOUTH OTSELIC – The Otselic Valley Vikings boys soccer team fought their way through another overtime game at home, this time against Morris.

Morris defeated OV 2-1 in the first portion of overtime.

After a scoreless half of play, both teams were fiery with one goal each in the second half. Morris scored four minutes into the second half while Izzy Ponce scored for the Vikings.

Both teams finished strong to send the game into overtime, which OV has seen quite a few overtime games this season.

Morris took the close victory in a tough game for the Vikings against a non-league opponent. Goalkeeper Caleb Loomis made 14 saves in the loss.

OV (2-7-2) hosts Stockbridge Valley/Morrisville-Eaton on Friday under the lights at 7 p.m. In the previous match-up in mid-September, the Cougars won 2-1.
