BOONVILLE – The Sherburne-Earlville Marauders boys soccer team faced Adirondack on Wednesday, falling short 2-1. Despite the close loss, the Marauders continue to show improvement throughout 11 games played.

S-E got on the board and took a 1-0 into halftime. Junior Parker Goedel netted his first goal of the season off a pass from Balin Olsen at the top of the penalty box.

Adirondack answered back in the second half with the tying goal, as well as the game-winner.

Both teams were held to five shots on goal. S-E goalkeeper Avery Parsons made three saves in the loss, bringing his season total to 68 thus far in his final year.

S-E travels to Vernon-Verona Sherrill this afternoon for a non-league contest at 4:30 p.m. The last time these two teams faced off was in the Sherburne-Earlville kick-off tournament to start the season where V.V.S won 4-0.
