DOWNSVILLE- After defeating Bainbridge-Guilford in the first round of the James Campbell Memorial Tournament, the Afton/Harpursville boys soccer team faced Walton/Downsville in the championship. The Crimson Knights won in shutout fashion 3-0.

Afton/Harpursville had two goals off the feet of Bob Mercilliott with the other goal from Ryan Dawson on Mercilliot's pass. Dawson, Mercilliott, and Toni Obeada were all named tournament all-stars with their hard-working efforts.

Mercilliott finished the tournament with four goals and two assists. Dawson scored two goals while Obeada had three goals and two assists in the game against B-G to earn honors. Mercilliott leads the Crimson Knights with seven goals throughout the first three games.

Afton/Harpursville resumes MAC league play this afternoon (Monday) on the road against Greene at 4:15 p.m.
