B-G Girls Soccer Advances To Tournament Final, Defeats Sullivan West

DOWNSVILLE– After defeating Liberty in game one of the Downsville tournament, the Bainbridge-Guilford Bobcats Girls Soccer team faced Sullivan West on Thursday. B-G came out on top 1-0 in the close game.

Breanna Casey scored the lone goal of the game for the Bobcats from an assist by Johnna Henderson. That is Johnna’s seventh assist so far through four games of the season. Goalkeeper Danica Park blocked a penalty kick and made five saves in the shutout.

B-G (4-0) advances to the tournament final on Saturday at 10 a.m. As of now, the opponent is unknown.

Other Scores:

B-G Boys Soccer defeats Margaretsville 3-1 in the James Campbell Tournament in Downsville. Julian Pruskowski led the Bobcats with two goals while Brock Porter netted one goal and had an assist. The game was called early due to the storm, but still counted.

UV/GMU Boys Soccer ties with Morris 1-1 in a game that was called early through the second half due to the storm, but still counted. Devon Hartwell scored the lone goal for the Storm and his third goal of the season.

The Greene Girls Soccer Tournament was postponed, along with all Norwich games for Thursday.

The Sherburne-Earlville football game against Port Byron was rescheduled for Saturday.
