WHITNEY POINT - After suffering multiple losses at the hands of the Eagles last season, the Greene Trojans Field Hockey team traveled to Whitney Point for the second game of the season. Greene picked up its first win of the season against Maine-Endwell last Thursday 2-1 in double overtime. However, having this preparation didn't come through how Greene wanted as they fell 6-0 to the Section IV, Class C and the 2022 NYSPHSAA State Champions.

The Trojans were held to just one shot on goal in the entirety of the contest. Whitney Point scored one in the first three quarters before pushing through with three goals in the final quarter of play.

Greene's Tati Wells and Braelyn Blakeslee combined for 10 saves in the loss.

Greene (1-1) regroups to face Sidney on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Box Score:

WP 6 - GR 0
