Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto Passes Rustic Ridge For SNB Horseshoe Club Lead

NEW BERLIN – After Dale Lund and Ron Anderson of Rustic Ridge held a half game lead for the past several weeks, Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto (Cindy Miller and Joe Miller) had a great outing to pass them for the lead. The Millers currently hold a one game lead with a 36.5-15.5 record in the South New Berlin Horseshoe Club. With Rustic Ridge in second, Stafford Builders (Al Bush/Al Patten), moved to third with a 34-18 record with Potter’s Tires staying still in the fourth spot and Prolifiq Sign Studio rounding out the week of August 2nd’s top five teams. 

There have also been many teams battling for other placements throughout the standings. Fun Lovers (Tim Lidell and Mike Grant) moved from 11th to tied for sixth place with Webster Paving and Angela’s Drunks with Rhythm, who all share a 28.5-23.5 record. Fun Lovers holds the sixth spot by a point advantage with 4621 points compared to Webster’s 3976 and Angela’s 1854.

Despite losing the lead, Lund and Anderson’s Rustic Ridge were still able to sweep the team leaderboards while Lund strongly commanded both the men’s high singles and high series. Lund’s highest game was a 99 over Al Patten’s 77 and Lee Coon’s 76. Lund’s high series was a 255 over Patten’s 224 and John Edwards joined the leaderboards in third with a 211. Rustic Ridge finished atop the team singles with a high game of 157 and also achieved a high of 431 to take the series victory.

Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto made their mark on the leaderboards with achieving a victory in the high series handicap with Carpet Protectors (Brian Prentice and Josh Prentice) earning the high singles handicap win. Roger’s Best Value Tire & Auto scored a high series of 631 over Potter’s Tires and Carpet Protectors. Carpet Protectors took the high singles victory with a 221 over Stafford Builders (218) and Potter’s Tires (215).  

Kate Lloyd returned to the women’s leaderboards and earned the high series win while tying Cindy Miller for the high singles. Lloyd and Miller both achieved the highest game of a 72 while Lisa Rowlands finished third with a 43. Lloyd won the high series with a 206 over Miller’s 203 and Sheryl Thurston’s 114.

The South New Berlin Horseshoe Club meets every Wednesday night, where teams are still battling late in the season.
