NORWICH — The City of Norwich Police Department (NPD) has reported that the investigation into the homicide of Alisa Ann Martin, 44, of Norwich is still ongoing.

On Sunday, July 9 at approximately 6:30 p.m., the NPD responded to a welfare check at Martin's residence at 89 North Broad Street, after it was reported she had not been seen in several days. Officers had to force entry into the home, and discovered Martin deceased inside her apartment.

While NPD Chief Reuben Roach could not release the cause of death, he did confirm that the autopsy has ruled the incident a homicide, with signs of violence present at the scene.
