NORWICH – The Norwich Purple Tornado Unified Basketball team came back strong for a new 2023 season under a new head coach and added a few new players. Norwich alum Zan Stewart took over the lovely bunch this year, who held its home opener on Thursday evening. Norwich hosted Union-Endicott in a close loss.

Norwich started its 2023 season on May 1 at Vestal before two road games against Maine-Endwell and Binghamton. They were proud to play in front of their home crowd on Thursday and will host Owego this evening at 5 p.m. before their final game on Thursday against Vestal.
